You’re the only thing standing in your way.

Yesterday I passed the California real estate exam.  Never have I had to work so hard to get a job.  The process has stretched me, made me focus in on what’s important to me, and view life from a new perspective.
Prior to this, I held the belief that life needed to be ‘a certain way’ to create success and happiness.  And for awhile, I proved my theory right.  But eventually, I started getting bored and antsy, even though I was living comfortable in the box I had created.  Comfortable is nice, but boredom can suck the life out of you.  Do you feel that way?
As we get older, we get more and more comfortable with our lives — even if they aren’t serving our highest good.   And by the time we hit 40, there are additional responsibilities on our shoulders and doing what We want doesn’t seem possible anymore.  It becomes easier to just stay put and deal with it, instead of forging a new path.
But it is possible….
You are the only thing standing in your way.
Once you step over the thoughts of ‘I can’t’ or ‘It’s too late to try’ is when you will open the doorway to new possibilities and adventures in your life.
Don’t settle just because it’s easy.  Life is too short for that!
If there is something you want to change in your life, change it!  Shake things up!  Go for it!  This is Your life and Your time.  You can choose to take a new path.  Just because your past choices lead you to where you are now doesn’t mean you have to stay there.  You can choose differently.
As I begin this new life chapter, I can see a new light and beginning in front of me.  Is it scary?  Yes.  It’s is exciting? Yes!  And I feel alive.
Summon the courage to jump to your new beginning.  You Can.  You can Emerge Positive.
